So many things have been running through my head within the past few weeks, with the whole Chris Benoit drama going on. It has really made me think about some things. But, before I get to that I would like to say what my thoughts are on the whole Benoit issue. It is truly saddening how the whole thing has gone down so far. I honestly don't know what to believe from the media anymore. Every time I read something new about the case, the media seems to contradict itself. It's all so confusing, although I think I might be beginning to gain some grasp on the whole thing. As I said before, the whole situation is truly saddening. But, regardless of what the media says, Benoit was still a great wrestler. I've watched wrestling for so long, and Benoit was always wrestling. So, regardless of what truths come out of this case, I will always remember Benoit for the great wrestler he was and not the monster he became in his last few days.
Okay, back onto my original theme. As I said, so many things have been racing through my mind, and I've been thinking about a lot of things lately. I've come to realize that no matter what goes on in my life, there will always be a few close people there for me to turn to. I've been realizing even more recently how much the people closest to me mean to me. My family, my close friends, all mean the world to me. And with the Benoit case going the way it is, I realize just how quickly life can be taken away. I guess that is why I want to spend more time with my family and my friends.
So, with all this tragic drama going on, we all need to spend time with our families and our friends. What better time to do that then on Independence Day. So, on this Fourth of July, take nothing and no one for granted. Enjoy the time you get to spend with those close to you. And, just have a good time, because you never know when life will slip through your grasp and leave you by yourself.
Happy Fourth of July everyone!!!
