I feel like the biggest jerk.  I love it here on SS and feel so connected to everyone, but I just never find the time I would like to give ya all a shout, so I am taking the lazy way and posting a blog.  Here's what's up in my life that some have been askin about.

All moved into the new house and I am absolutely ecstatic!!!  It is wonderful to be on my own schedule.  The house is near perfect!!!  Just had hubby install my new pan rack today :)  Hopefully the rest of the crown molding will be up in a week or two, and that just about finishes the upstairs. 

Got tubes in the babies ears a couple of weeks ago.  She is doing wonderfully!  Language is progressing at an alarming rate now and she is so much happier.  (except for last night when she fell, smashed her mouth and bled for 20 mins. :( )

My older girl has a boyfriend at daycare (she's 3 1/2).  She says Kayden is her boyfriend, Nicholas likes her, but she doesn't like him, and the other boys all want to play with her, but she is busy with Kayden.  My husband is freaking out, wants to send her to an all girls school.  Too funny, I just picture her, not yet 4, at an all girls school getting her knuckles whacked with a ruler!!!!  He has no idea how bad this is going to get in the years to come!!!!!!

We're going car shopping tomorrow!!!  Hope to find something cheap with good gas mileage that breaks down less than the POS I have now!!!

Just wanted to drop a note to say babies procedure went great!!!  Done in like 10 minutes, and she seems pretty good other than a slight sore throat.  Finally got the computer hooked up at my house so if the kiddies let me have a turn on it I should be able to get a little more computer time

Mood is other because "tense" isn't an option.  I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 tomorrow morning to get tubes in my babies ears.  I know it is a really simple procedure, and we did it with our older daughter, but my baby is barely over a year and only weighs 18 pounds.  She just seems so tiny and fragile that to hand her over for any procedure seems scary.  I don't know how parents who have to have major organ surgery on their newborns do it.  Anyway, I will try to hop on and let ya all know how it went when we get home tomorrow.  If I don't talk to ya Friday...Have a great weekend!!!!

Wanted to send each of my incredible SS pals a personal note, but I am out of time today and getting my arse kicked at work, so this will have to do. 

I have to take my 1 year old to an ear, nose, and throat specialist Monday, they are talking about doing tubes (joy).  My 3 year old is fairly well, but she can't get over the end of this cold/cough and she keeps getting bloody noses during the night from this dry-ass Utah climate. (I have got to get my humidifiers up and running in my new house!!!)

Otherwise my family is sassy and funny as hell!!!  I love the crazy shit these two little ones come up with.  Turns out the guy my 3 year old smacked on the bum (from my last blog) was the Hospital Administrator where I work.  Thank god he is one of the nicest guys I know. 

We are so far in the hole right now trying to come up with a budget for this new house I am going crazy.  Hubby and I fight all the time, but I'm sure it is just the stress of moving, working on the house, and trying to pay the bills.  It has to get better from here.

I work this weekend, so I might have some time to log on and say hello, but will be gone Mon, and Tues.

Ok, so I have known for a long time that my eldest daughter (now 3 1/2) is a huge flirt.  At 18 months she walked away from me in the mall to dance (yes dance) with a large group of teenage boys in Hot Topic.  There must have been 8 teen boys in long black trenches with spikey, crazy colored hair around her in a cirle laughing, clapping, and dancing and she was LOVING the attention.  This all leads up to her most recent display.

We have just moved into our new house and last night our new home teachers (2 men from the church) came over to welcome us to the ward.  My husband invited them in to sit on the couch.  My little girl said she had to change clothes and dashed off.  Shortly she returned in her Christmas dress?!  She then pushed her way in between the two men on the couch and curled up and leaned against one of them. 

After a short visit they excused themselves and as they walked toward the door she ran up and smacked one of them right on the ass!!!!!!  My poor hubby about had a coronary.  These are two men my girl has never even met before!!!!

The prospect of this kid as a teenager scares the hell out of me!!!  She is a crazy flirt!!!

Well my day of fear is over.  Thanks everyone for letting me vent, and thanks especially for the support.

We missed my nieces baptism because my one year old threw up twice her body weight on the way to the church.  Then I fell asleep feeding her and didn't make it to the pharmacy.  She spiked a low grade fever and was arnery as hell for the first 45 min. of her party.  Then she fell asleep again and missed the rest of her party.  Her older sister blew out the candle and opened the presents by proxy. 

My back pain is gone and hasn't come back yet, but another member of my family spent a couple of hours at instacare last night and couldn't come to the first of the party because they have intense side pain that, after careful examination, seems to have no cause.

Over all I think the day went better than expected..........

Anyhow, baby is officiall 1 now!!!!!!!!!

As soon as I get the new pics downloaded I'll throw some on to show her off!!!!!!!!!!

 

My mood is "other" only because "in the middle of a fucking panic attack" is not a choice.  My neice is getting baptised tomorrow at 10.  Lunch at 12.  My little girl's first birthday is tomorrow and the party is at 6 at my new house.  Looks like about 40 people coming for dinner.  My in-laws have been staying with me while they are up for the baptism/birthday.  More family is coming in tonight.  My house is trashed, we aren't even fully moved in yet, my baby has an ear infection, I think I might have a kidney stone, but I am not sure, never had one before.........OMG 

I know on the grand scale of things this is still pretty minor.  Have a good house, healthy family, good job, etc.  but this is the kind of shit that makes my blood pressure skyrocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, SK tells me that the Gauze story isn't my best, so here is one we think is way more disgusting.  This happened at another hospital where a good friend of mine works...

A little old couple come into the ER and ask to have the husband seen by a doctor.  The husband smells so bad (reminiscent of both poop and rotting flesh at the same time)that other people in the ER waiting room decide they aren't that sick after all and go home.  They hurry and get little old man and his wife into a room as soon as possible (and they do give him a room, not just a curtain area...) so others can breathe.  When the doc asks why they are there they explain that they signed up for one of those senior bus tours.  Ride around and see the country ya know.  Part way through the tour they were asked to leave because the husband smelled so bad others were getting sick, so they came to the nearest hospital.  Any idea why you smell?  asks the doc.  Well, I have this sore on my side that is oozing a thick brown pussy liquid, I think that might be it.

Doc takes a look, and discovers that the little old man had a blocked bowel that he left untreated.  It festered and the bacteria ate through his intestines, muscle, and skin.  Now poo poo and rotten flesh juices were leaking out of his side.......

They collected some of the ooze into a syring, packed into 4 ziploc baggies, and sent it to the lab for culture.  Poo juice inside a syringe, 4 bags, and a pneumatic tube still smells so bad it makes your eyes water......
