Ghost Noises

Sounds like recorded noise phenomina, since it is repeating itself.  Usually if the barometric environment statistics are right, it will release past recorded sounds.  Kind of like the environment eching itself into its surrounding like on a cassette tape.  When the barometric pressures are right its like pushing the play button.

In my first house I started to hear books falling off of a shelf (that was not there?).  Then my exwife started to hear it when she was by herself.  After a few months we would hear it at the same time.  We also had a high 3 story walled house that if a car backfired or fireworks went off when you where in the recroom you could hear a jar of marbles fall and hit the floor spilling its contents.  You could hear the individual marbles rolling from one side of the room to the other. It sounded like about 100 or more marbles in the jar?  The sound of paper tearing was also a common on like someone grabbed a phone book and ripped it in half?  The paper tearing and the books falling would happen in different area of the house.  The marbles would only come from the middle bed room.  We started to hear these sounds individually but eventually would hear these sounds together.  After awhile we got used to it and stopped trying to investigate them...... 

So at this point I would say recorded noise phenomina.  We also had a ghost that would mimic our voices but that is another story....

Strange Happenings

This time of year normally there isn't much going on here in the paranormal realm.  We have always joked that the spirits seem to go off to summer camp.  Yes you'd see some orbs, maybe catch glimpses of shadow figures once in a while but nothing I would consider out of the norm.  

Tonight though seems to be just a little bit different and has the senses on scream.  It started when I had to step outside to turn the heater on in my greehouse as the temps could go down below freezing.  While in the greenhouse I could hear the sound of a vehicle coming up our road.  Figuring it was probably my son's girl I went back to what I was doing.  A minute or two later I noticed the sound was different.  It was starting over again.  Okay, I figured she did something wrong, we live on a dirt road that was washed out this spring and is not for the faint of heart, and maybe she had to back up or something.  So now I'm paying attention.  The sounds start over and after a minute or so I'm waiting for the headlights because from the sounds the vehicle should be just coming up the last part of the hill and I should be able to see them on the trees.  No lights and the sound stopped.  Damn....she's stuck, or maybe someone trying to jack deer.  Okay I turn to head inside and then the sound starts again......from the beginning of the road.  Not the half mile up where I had just heard it.  Anyways, head in and ask my son to come out and listen.  Of course by this time it seems to be all over, so I tell him what I've heard.  He in turn tells me he heard a vehicle pull into and stop in our driveway while I was outside.  Now it's pretty darned dark out and would be impossible for someone to drive this road without lights.  We're in the woods, no neighbors or street lights.  While in the greenhouse I had a full view of the end of our drive and no one drove in.  

I thought at first it might have been the wind was just right for the sound of traffic, 2 miles away, to be heard here.  Nope, it would have had to be coming from the south for that to happen and it's coming from the NW.  

Ideas anybody?

Strange happenings
Thank-you, that makes sense.  This is totally different from anything I have dealt with before.  We've had "ghost" cars here before but not like this and not lasting for as long as this did.
