There is the Water's Hill Cemetery in Livermore, ME which also has quite a bit of activity for similar reasons.  As late as the 1970s, the town fathers have been reselling grave sites.  First they would remove the old headstones, wait a few years so people would forget, then turn around and sell the plot to someone else.  Nice huh?  When it came time for the recycled grave to be used the cemetery keeper would dig up the old wooden coffins and bones and just dump them into a hole they had dug on the other side of the surrounding stone wall.

Although there is minimal activity during the day, feelings of being watched, shapes moving out of the corner of your eye, whispering, the gloaming and full dark can be very interesting.  There is a distinct feeling of sadness here and the isolation of the site just adds to it. I have photos of orbs, vaporous shapes that move about the graveyard proper.  Over the stonewall dark shapes have been seen and photographed.  I also feel something...for lack of a better term, evil here.  Not the best word to use but the closet I can come up with right now.

Hmmm...I wonder if there is a land lease law in effect?  I think you may want to get buried in a different county?  This should be looked into by a group involved with cemetary presservation.  By  going out to photograph the cemetary site itself and document the destruction/desecration may bring some good karma your way also...I would think good thoughts and intentions the next time you are out there and see what will come your way...Interesting simularitys in your story thanks for adding it.

Abandoned Cemetary - Ghost Hill

Ghost Hill is a site of an abandonded cemetary. It is now located on private property. S.P.E.C.T.E.R. and Ghost Hunters of Guelph continue to do research at this site, with the permission of the property owner.

In the mid 1970's the local biker group in guelph held a party in the cemetary. At some point they decided it was a good idea to throw all the headstones into the middle of the road? Since this time, there has been ghostly phenomina on that site. The headstones where taken to Woodlawn Cemetary but since there where no photographs of this site in the local history books, the tombstones where never returned back to their proper owners.

The new owner of this property has often seen mysterious lights moving across the cemetary at night. Sometimes when he is in his house and feels someone there he will take out another glass and pour a wine for his ghostly friend. This seems to please the entity (or entities) and he's never had a problem living at that location. We've also heard stories from others that have parked near this site or their car have mysteriously broken down. All have claimed to hear odd screams and unexpainable noises coming from the surrounding directions.

There is only one headstone that marks the area of Ghost Hill and the original cemetary is fenced off and over grown with small trees. Nothing much to look at. This area is in a gully, so any sound carries strangely and we have found tends to echo around, giving the sense of ghostly phenomina. I have dowsed through this area and have located between 10-12 plots but the terrain makes things tough for accurate placements of markers.

Ghost Hill will most likely stay active until all the headstones get returned to their proper owners. We hope, till this happens, that they can all rest-in-peace.

I was on the cemetery commitee and have tried to change how things are done here.  They are no longer able to re-sell the graves because of our efforts and we have been able to guide a few af the lost souls along.  I wish I had been here when it was going on, a lot of people knew what was going on but they did nothing.  Wasn't their people so they didn't care.  It's sad really, back in the 1700s this town was described as "mean spirited" and it has changed some but not much.
