My First Riddle

I was there when time began. I'll be there in the end. Many people fear me and do not understand me. No matter what anyone does, I cannot be destroyed, I cannot be killed. I am what people can turn to when they've been shunned by society. I am there for all who seek me out.  What am I?

I agree with justmeinatree, a fun riddle, but no definitive answer.  Possible answers (depending on your beliefs) could be God, change, the unknown, solitude, the heavens, darkness, and the list goes on... although my guess is the answer you were looking for is... death?

It's a nice start, keep it up.  The more you work on these, the better you'll get.
