Subject: The End
Content: I am currently working on a living will and have come to a section pertaining to how I want to be remembered. The question is: "If there is to be a memorial service for me, I wish for this service to include the following (List music, songs, readings,etc.)". As music is a huge part of my life, this is very important to me. I would hate to be in the next life or wherever knowing that some jackass played a bunch of religious nonsense at my memorial. So, now I am faced with creating a playlist that could potentially change the way people remember me after I'm gone...and not just friends and lovers, but parents and distant family that have only memories of me as a child. If it were just immediate family I would pick whatever, but I don't want to ruin anyone's fond memories of me by playing inappropriate music. I'm considering a three-part set, with copies available for those who want a momento. One disc for the service (quiet, reflective, instrumentals), one for the wake (thoughtful, expressive, spoken word, etc.), and one for the after-party (more fun, upbeat, sick, irreverent- things I listen to alot). How about you?
