Title: EVP-EMF correlation
Tags:
Blog Entry: This past weekend our team performed an investigation in an old victorian era home and I had the chance to finally run the EVP/EMF correlation experiment, on a scaled down application. What I did was set up two microphones, a condenser studio grade microphone and a dynamic vocal microphone and fed them in to a mixer. I put the condenser microphone only in the right channel, and the dynamic microphone only in the left channel. We captured several EVPs and they were recorded only in the left channel, indicating the EVPs were electromagnetic in nature, and had nothing to do with audio. Interestingly, we discovered something else. Whatever was generating the EMF that we recorded as audio also effected the capacitance of the air in the room, causing interference through the condenser microphone. Now that we have proved the correlation concept, we will move forward with using the complete system set up where time and space allow. One thing we now know for certain. At least SOME EVPs are caused by electromagnetic fields impringint the recording medium by exciting the microphone coils. The question is, what is the source of these electromagnetic fields? We are working on the answer.
