Blog Entry: We seem to be coming along great with the haunt. We have completed 27 walls with plywood attached and all. They just need paint. I also have great news. The Home Depot has agreed to make a donation to our haunt. They have guaranteed a tarp large enough to cover the haunt and protect it from rain and also 5 gallons of paint (4 black and 1 red). They are also awaiting approval of OSB and 2X4s. This would be a HUGE help with our haunt. In case I forgot to mention in an earlier blog, the haunt is for my daughter who is now 16 months old. Back in Feb when she was 10 months old, she was diagnosed with cancer. Since then she has gone through chemotherapy and was sent to Boston for surgery. They now believe the tumor (what's left of it) to be benign. I designed a haunt to fit into a 40' X 40' area. It's small, but it will pack a punch. I designed it so small for a few reasons. We need to build it quickly out of pallets and other scrounged wood. I have been having trouble getting help, so I made the haunt small enough to be run by 10-12 actors (including the ticket person and line workers).
